Gourmet Foods

In our gift shop we carry a vast selection of gourmet food lines from the very best chefs in the business.

Starting right at the home with Bert Bee’s, AKA Herb Guy’s Honey House. Bret keeps nine bee hives out in the apple orchard. They provide us with a great selection of unpasteurized honey all season long. As our friend Gill Exton of Two Fish Canvas Art said, “I wasn’t a honey snob until I tried Bret’s honey and now I can’t eat any other.” It really is that good. When you come to the winery, take a stroll into the orchard and visit the bees. However; we recommend that you don’t knock on the side of the hives to wake them up!

Right next door is a gourmet food company that caters to your dog. Doggy Deli is an all natural, hand made, dog treats. Rusty our Golden Retriever loves them.

We have some great cheeses from some great local independent cheese factories all hand crafted, naturally aged, and best of all they pair beautifully with our wines.

Crosswind Farm Fresh artisan chevre and feta is second to none, out of Keene, Ontario. The goats are milked at 5am and then Cindy goes to work right away making the chevre. You just can't get any fresher than that!

Empire Cheese from Campbellford is owned by local dairy farmers. They have been cheddar champion many years at the Royal Winter Fair. Every Friday we get a delivery of fresh curd from them. The curd arrives so fresh it squeaks in our mouth. The other cool thing they do is they use our wines and infuse them into their old cheddar. Available only at the winery, it has a unique taste and pairs well with many of our wines.

Mariposa Dairy from Lindsay is a great goat cheese factory making some excellent goat cheese. I like the little logs covered with fruit like cranberries and blueberries. These soft chesses are suited to our off dry wines.

Another great independent cheese factor is Black River Cheese, from Milford. Try there maple cheddar, it is one of my favourites. This maple cheddar pairs with our off dry nectarine or our maple syrup ice wine.

In the log cabin we carry many different gourmet foods, starting with 50 different hot sauces and BBQ sauces. There’s sauces for every taste and sense of adventure. Other very fine Ontario producers of gourmet foods we carry are: Big Ass Garlic, Eadrey’s Foods, Jakemans Maple Products, Spruce Wood Cookie Company, Olive It, and Summer Kitchen. We also have Canadian gourmet delights such as Lac Brome Ducks, Brickstone, and Sea Change salmon which grace our shelves.
